ABOUT THE ROLE
As part of the Melbourne sales team, the role of Business Development Manager will drive new business opportunities and sales within the Melbourne market. With a book of leads, this hunter role will be suited to an emerging sales executive or customer service operator looking to progress into sales. Previous experience in freight forwarding is imperative.

DUTIES
• Update and report on pipeline and activity with direct reports
• Generate new business leads & conversion across new and existing verticals
• Work collaboratively with key internal stakeholders to fully understand and sell service capabilities
• Meet set KPI targets as set by management

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• 5+ years working in freight forwarding, sales will be an advantage
• Previous experience working on national and global RFQ, RFI & tender opportunities is an advantage
• Exposure to working within a global forwarder will be an advantage
• Experience working with key internal stakeholders to implement new business
