The Position:
Reporting to the Head of Operations and working closely with the Executive Team, you will be instrumental in implementing robust financial systems, creating in-depth reports and forecasts, and driving key financial initiatives that support the company’s rapid growth. Key responsibilities will include:
- Take ownership of and successfully transition all Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly Financial Reporting from external accountants to an in-house process
- Overseeing and managing General Ledger, Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, BAS, and FBT
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to align with company goal
- Oversee / manage day-to-day accounting operations (AR/AP, payroll, cash flow management)
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, including tax and international reporting
- Prepare detailed financial reports, performance analyses, and KPI dashboards
- Lead financial reporting for grants, R&D tax incentives, and tax refund
- Provide strategic financial advice on investments, cost savings, and risk management
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to track and allocate all expenses, mapping costs and projects
- Develop and implement efficient financial systems, processes, and policies
- Mentor and manage the finance team ensuring efficiency
The Candidate:
- Degree in Accounting, (CPA/CA preferred)
- Ability to drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Tech-savvy with experience Xero, Excel and payment systems
- A proactive, solutions-driven mindset with excellent communication skills
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and international tax requirements
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Retail, wholesaling, or logistics industry experience an advantage
- Leadership and team management skills
