About the Role
Are you an experienced senior accounting professional seeking a unique opportunity to drive transformation within an established global company?
Reporting directly to the General Manager, this 12-month fixed-term contract offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while working alongside senior leadership during a period of business transformation and process improvement.
Initially, this role will be based full-time in the office for the handover period, transitioning to a hybrid work model (2-3 days WFH) long-term.
Key Responsibilities
As the Company Accountant, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of monthly and year end financials, P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash flow.
- Preparation, review and analysis of budgets.
- Preparation of monthly management reports to US headquarters
- Daily bank reconciliation, including monitoring and managing intercompany transactions
- Monitor, maintain and plan cash flow
- Collaborating with the General Manager to update and maintain stock price lists
- Calculating and reconciling monthly sales commissions.
- Maintaining the ERP system and ensuring its effective integration.
- Liaise with external accountants regarding Payroll preparation, Tax, BAS, GST, Payroll tax and Workcover returns
- Supervise day to day AR and AP functions, including foreign currency transactions
- Ability to review and streamline internal processes & offer advice on where required.
- Preparing financial statements for corporate, banking, and audit compliance, including support for annual audits.
- Uploading monthly financial results to the US parent company’s reporting system.
- Coordinating with insurance providers to manage company insurance requirements.
- Other general Admin/Finance duties.
About You
- Dynamic, hands-on with an eye for process improvement.
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting, with CPA or CA accreditation.
- Proven similar experience, particularly in an SME environment.
- Advanced MS Excel skills; experience with ERP system AusVantage is highly regarded.
- A track record of analysing financial data and providing strategic insights.
- Experience with foreign currency transactions and corporate tax compliance.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.
