HR Business Partner – Temporary Opportunity

We are partnering with a respected organization in the manufacturing industry to find a confident and proactive HR Business Partner for a temporary assignment. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to key HR initiatives and providing impactful support to the business.

About the Role:

As the HR Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in driving HR excellence, ensuring seamless operations, and supporting key organizational objectives during a critical period. Working closely with the Head of HR and the wider team, you will deliver a wide range of HR functions, providing expert guidance and hands-on support to meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted advisor on Employee Relations, offering guidance on workplace conflicts, performance management, grievances, and disciplinary actions, while resolving complaints in a fair and timely manner.
  • Review and audit employee contracts, ensuring compliance with legal standards, and develop, revise, and implement HR policies and procedures to align with organizational goals.
  • Interpret and apply the Manufacturing Award, providing guidance on pay rates, entitlements, and conditions, and manage award interpretation issues such as overtime, penalties, and leave entitlements.
  • Support Workers Compensation processes, including liaising with insurers, managing return-to-work plans, and assisting with HSE initiatives such as audits, safety training, and compliance reporting.
  • Build strong relationships across the organization to proactively identify and address potential issues and contribute to fostering a safe, compliant, and engaged workplace culture.

About You:

  • Previous experience as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner.
  • Background in the manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
  • Ability to confidently manage end-to-end HR duties and hit the ground running.
  • Strong knowledge of award interpretation, ER processes, and policy updates.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
  • HR qualifications are desirable but not essential with the right experience.
